Along with his values and business acumen, Mr. Clark left us with an important mandate: to support the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation. The Foundation supports grantees that build practical, immediate and concrete connections between effort and opportunity, and focuses its
investments in the following areas: educating engineers to solve society’s toughest problems,
improving the lives of veterans and their families, and providing members of the DC community
the best opportunity to thrive.

Clark Enterprises Gives Back
Mr. Clark believed in the importance of giving back to the communities in which he lived and worked, and that ethic remains central to Clark Enterprises’ values today. In addition to our support for the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation, Clark Enterprises employees give generously of their time and resources in service to our local community. All of the employees are provided three paid service days a year, which they use to serve myriad local nonprofits ranging from SafeShores to Children’s Inn to Yellow Ribbon Fund.
